Privacy policy

Maéra Makeover Studio & Academy (“Maéra”, “we”) is a women-only makeover studio and makeup academy at Beside Uppal Metro Station (towards Nagole Road), Hyderabad, Telangana. We decide how the personal data described here is used, under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Only what we need to look after you:

• Contact details: your name, mobile number (and WhatsApp number) and, if you give it, your email.
• Visits: the services you book, the date, time and artist, and notes the artist needs (for example an allergy you tell us about).
• Bills: what was bought, the amount, offers used and how you paid (UPI, card or cash). We do not keep card numbers or UPI PINs; those stay with your bank and the payment provider.
• Academy: for students, the course and batch, the fee plan and payments, attendance and progress, and a parent’s or guardian’s details where a student is under 18.
• Enquiries: what you ask about when you call, message us on WhatsApp or fill in a form on this site.

This website itself does not ask you to sign up, and it does not use advertising or tracking cookies (see the cookie policy).

• To book, confirm, remind you of and carry out your appointments.
• To bill you, issue GST invoices and credit notes, and keep the accounts the law requires.
• To enrol students, run batches, keep attendance, collect fees and issue certificates.
• To send you messages about what you booked or bought: booking confirmations and reminders, receipts, fee reminders, course updates. These go by WhatsApp or a call.
• To answer your enquiries and requests, including requests about your data.

We never sell your data. It is seen only by our team at the studio and by the services that help us run it, each only for that job:

• WhatsApp (Meta Platforms), to deliver the messages described above.
• Payment providers and banks, when you pay by UPI or card.
• Our website and software hosting.
• Government authorities, when the law requires it (for example tax records).

Your contact details and visit history are kept while you are a client or student, so we can see your past services and allergies. If you ask us to delete them, we do (see below).

Bills, invoices and fee receipts are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after a deletion request; we keep only what that law needs.

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what data we hold about you and how we use it;
• correct or complete it;
• delete it, or stop using it for messages;
• name someone to act for you if you cannot.

Use the data deletion request form, write to admissions@maeraacademy.com or call +91 91000 05022. We confirm who you are (usually by your registered mobile) before we act, and reply within 30 days.

Our studio software is used only by our team, each with their own sign-in, and access depends on their role. We keep what we hold to the minimum above. If a breach ever affected your data, we would tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

We enrol students under 18 only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who can use every right above on their behalf.

When we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. Big changes are also shown at the studio.
